HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
In 1885, logger William Morgan and his wife Margaret Anne homesteaded the land that today is known as the Morgan Creek Golf Course. The woods were abundant with wildlife indigenous to the Pacific Northwest. It was pastoral living in a simpler time.
Today, that pastoral setting has been maintained in the 165 acres of rolling golf course and natural habitation areas that abound with wildlife and if, during your game, you pause along the creek, you'll still hear the sounds of nature.
The Morgan Creek Golf Club also happens to sit on the site of a homestead that produced bootleg whiskey during the prohibition era. Naturally, it goes to say that the golf course, and subsequent neighbourhood, adopted the surname of the original homesteading family — the Morgans.

Morgan Creek originally started in 1994 as a golf-focused community nested on large lots, with the Rosemary Heights development introducing a wider diversity of smaller housing types.

Whether you drive your car or plan to take transit to school and shopping, Morgan Creek is an easy place to get to and from. Public transportation via Translink’s South Surrey & White Rock Buses makes it easy to travel to schools and shopping centres, while commuter buses provide easy access for those working in Richmond or Vancouver.
Students who are residents of the cities of Surrey or White Rock, and who meet the criteria, will be considered eligible for regular School Bus Transportation to and from the school which has been designated by the Superintendent of Schools to serve their residence.
If driving is your transportation of choice, you’ll find Morgan Creek is accessible by Highways 99 and 91 from the Greater Vancouver area, and via Highways 10 and 15 from the Fraser Valley. You can then easily access Morgan Creek using the 8A and 8B exits off Highway 99, and turning left onto 32nd Avenue from Highway 15.

The Morgan Creek Golf Course offers year-round access to golf-lovers, and has held the title of BC’s "Facility of the Year" by PGA Canada. Its manicured gardens, waterfalls and fountains are the perfect setting for wedding celebrations.
The club’s banquet rooms provide the ideal place to host conferences, family reunions and birthday celebrations. Alongside offering a golf teaching academy, Morgan Creek Golf Course also holds many tournaments and events such as the Players Club Fall Classic Tournament, the MIABC Charity Golf Tournament, and the KidSport Golf Tournament.
For a bit of fresh fruit on a sunny day, check out the vast number of blueberry farms that make up the agricultural activity in the area. And don’t miss a stop at Mary’s Garden – a family owned-and-operated farm market providing fresh fruits and vegetables since 1966. In fact, the Mary’s Garden vegetable stand has been a South Surrey favourite for many years.
